🤔 Do you know that Facebook has 2.912 billion users as of January 2022?Â
Â
That means 36.8% of the total population in the world uses Facebook. These numbers keep increasing on a daily basis. It is first in the ranking of the world’s most active social media platforms.
This growth and acceptance of a social media platform is a boon to entrepreneurs. Do you know why? It increases your opportunity to make your business reach millions of people.
Facebook Ads
You might have seen many ads coming up while you use Facebook right? Does it seem to be annoying? Yes, at times, but did you know that ADs also convert into paid clients. If you are a business owner, then Facebook Ads can help you skyrocket your business in a great way.
Â
You are missing out a lot if you are not leveraging the Facebook Ads feature for your business. But that does not mean that you have to directly dive in without understanding how it works!
Here IÂ share 5 tips to run successful Facebook Ad campaigns for your Business.
-
Be confident and try out things
You can’t be perfect always. That doesn’t mean you should not try out things. While using marketing tools, you may not get the expected results the first time itself.Â
Try to implement whatever you have learned. Once you are done, now start tracking, and analyzing the results. You will understand what works, and what did not. Only through the trial and error method, you will learn what strategy works the best for your business.
One strategy that worked for a business will not work for another one. So you need to make a tailored strategy for your own business.

Mind the rules
Do you know that Facebook Ads have certain rules set for the users?
Yes, there are certain rules, for all of your Ad campaigns. Each of your ads will be reviewed by the platform, prior to publishing. It is very important for you to understand all of that before diving into setting up ads. Major offensive rule violations and repeated mistakes can even lead to disabling of your ad account, or business page.
You might have to build your page with so much effort and hard work. Simple mistakes can cost you a lot, it can even affect your Business profile. So, always learn about the tool in-depth, and know about the policies, and rules beforehand.

Give learning time to Facebook
Have you heard of the “Learning Phase” in Facebook ads? Anytime you start running a new Ad or when you make a significant edit to your Ads, that Ad status changes to “Learning”. This simply means Facebook is trying to “learn” about your Ad. During this phase, Facebook’s Ad Delivery system is exploring the best way to deliver your ad set.
Here are some Best Practices recommended by Facebook regarding the Learning phase:
- Wait to edit your ad set until it’s out of the learning phase.
- Avoid unnecessary edits that cause ad sets to re-enter the learning phase.
- Avoid high ad volumes.
- Use realistic budgets.
Typically it takes 25 to 50 desired actions ( the action for which you have optimized your Ad set) within a seven day period, to exit the learning phase! So the best tip here is to follow these two things.Â
Budget: You need to have a realistic budget. If the budget is too less, you may never get desired actions within a 7 day period. So always ask yourself. Have I put in enough amount to get these desired actions within the seven day period?
Audience Size: In some cases, a budget may not be the only factor. You might have to target a larger audience to reach those people who may take those desired actions.

Issues with Targeting
Though a lot of Small Businesses run ads themselves and use targeting options available, some of the common mistakes are, trying to Target people with their direct interests only. But imagine if you can target them using their “feelings”.
You need to look at the emotions your target audience may be going through. For example, if you are running ads for the wellness industry, of course, your common interests to target are healthy recipes, weight loss etc. But imagine the feelings of the person who wants to undergo weight loss.
Most probably he or she is a foodie, right? So let’s target foodies who watch those videos from those amazing food blogs!Â

Create Funnels
Running a standalone Facebook Ad with a “Buy NOW” button rarely brings results. Especially if the price is above 10$. Nobody spends bigger amounts without knowing the brand well. You wouldn’t swipe your cards until you know the person selling or until the brand has earned your trust right?

This is why we create funnels backed up with a proper Organic content strategy and retargeted ads.
Here’s what a basic Funnel would look like!
ATTENTION: During this phase, we grab the attention of the Cold Audience through some catchy ads.
INTEREST: Those cold audiences you clicked on your Ads initially are then retargeted to read your blog posts, Social media posts, watch your videos etc. This process is called layering your ads.
DESIRE: These audiences are further retargeted to Opt-in to your email list so that you can further nurture them through your backend email marketing funnels and at the same time through your social media posts and videos.
ACTION: Now is the real-time for action. The retargeting ads at this part of the funnel are the game changers! By the time your Audience reaches your Bottom funnel, they are warmed up. They have seen you on Social media, you are in their inbox and you have focused on providing value to them through all these platforms.
Now is the time they decide to pay you! Now we ASK THEM TO BUY!
