And, we have a huge advantage these days.

Now, there are more resources available. There are countless books, websites, and articles on every aspect of starting and running a business. With the rise of womenpreneurs, there are also more role models and mentors available to help, guide and support you on your journey.
Likewise, we started homepreneurs with a strong passion to help 1000’s women start, grow, and scale their businesses.
Let’s start with hearing what Rohita Ann Thomas, our dear club member, says about her experience with the Homepreneurs club.
“I’m an Alcohol Ink artist based out of Sharjah. I’m a contemporary artist with an interest in acrylics as well. The main reason I’m into alcohol ink art is that it brings about so much joy and happiness in my life and that’s what I try to bring about through my work.
Recently when I got an opportunity to be a part of a charity fundraiser which would be happening in June 2022 at the Hiscox building in York, UK, I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to be a part of such a noble cause.
I make artwork for both residential and corporate clients. I’m currently also looking to diversify into various other products apart from paintings like wallpaper, cell phone covers, etc. The amount of support that I have received from friends and family including strangers through social media has pushed me to work harder.
Being an entrepreneur is definitely not a cakewalk and requires a lot of planning. Having said that, I have been blessed with a very supportive family who understands the amount of time and effort I need to fulfill my dreams. I have a fixed time during the day wherein I work at my studio as an artist, I need to dedicate myself to continuous work and that helps me work on my skills and techniques.
Then of course there are days when I have this sudden burst of ideas late in the night and I grab my inks and canvas and start working. I spend two hours a day studying something new from either the videos from the Homepreneurs club or any other virtual summit I’m part of.
“I feel spending time to upgrade our knowledge is essential to overcoming some of the challenges we face in our respective niches.”
I’m currently a solopreneur and that can definitely take a toll on me. But I try to balance with meditation or even spending time with my daughter gives me the energy boost to get going and come back stronger!!
Being a solopreneur can be difficult but ever since I joined the Homepreneurs club, I have found that my business is taking a new direction. I’m thankful to Bilna for always taking the time to answer any questions regarding my work and of course, the webinars are beneficial. I spend time learning and networking with other like-minded entrepreneurs and that has definitely helped me to reach a greater audience. The webinars and networking events are definitely some of my favorite aspects of the Homepreneurs club!!

The monthly networking session with club mates is always a highlight of every month. It’s a great opportunity to catch up with other entrepreneurs, all while networking and building relationships.

We host 1 networking and Q&A session every month through zoom where we all network and help each.
We also hosted 2 in-person networking meetups.

“ Apart from being a Mindset Coach & NLP Practitioner, I am most passionate about being a mum to my 2 beautiful children, who are 15 and 11 now. The Business. ‘Transcend with Urvashi’ is my third baby and occupies an almost equal space in my heart as I see it grow from launch to dreams of scaling and growing it beyond measure.
I love structure and function best within it so I have the old school way of ‘to-do lists’ marked clearly against every day – whether it is work-related or a coffee meetup with a friend. Also includes the workout plan for every morning.
I try and utilize maximum time for my business while the children are away at school and then in the evenings again when they are busy with classes. I ensure they have my undivided attention when they wake up, come back from school, and go to bed. Weekends are strictly off for family.”
I do not have a team yet and take care of most aspects of the business myself. However, I do believe in outsourcing so I use a Social Media company’s expertise to help me with creative designs for Instagram.
Every business owner should have an attitude of learning. We cannot possibly know everything about running a business. An open mind willing to learn and then trying what works best for you is a key factor. For example, when I first started coaching, I didn’t understand the business side of things and thought I was ‘ready’ because coaching is what I do.
Until I realized that you may be a fantastic Life Coach but if no one knows who you are then you wouldn’t grow in your field. People will not know where to reach you. I learned the importance of ‘Branding’ and worked on it.
A willingness to learn and adaptability to current market trends will keep you up to date and help immensely in business growth.
I think I’m a learner for life so my favorite part of the Homepreneurs Club is the monthly webinar. There is just so much to learn from a business and wellness point of view. I try and attend most webinars live, however, if I can’t, I most definitely catch up on recordings within the same week.
I would like to network a lot more than I do now but time becomes a constraint. I did, however, enjoy engaging and interacting with a few club members during the Ramadan Challenge. Outside of Homepreneurs Club too, I am making a conscious effort to now network and be visible 😊
My tip to new entrepreneurs: If I had one tip to share, it would definitely be planning, organizing, and strategizing. As Abraham Lincoln said, “Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.”

“I try to organize my tasks before the week starts as I’m a big fan of journaling to organize my daily life. I usually start with a weekly schedule at the beginning of the week, assign different tasks for every day and reflect back at the end of the week. This keeps my mind focused on finishing work and this automatically reduces my mental clutter.
I believe in balance, so I make sure I include self-care, workouts, hobbies, and social life in my weekly schedule because as a creative entrepreneur, it is inevitable to get burnt out with work – which can block my creativity. At the moment, I do not have a helping hand in my business.
There are several factors that lead to growth as an entrepreneur, but one of the things that have really worked for me is having the right mindset – being able to think big and convincing your mind that no goal is impossible to achieve. I do this through visualization, manifestation and regularly writing down my dreams and goals to reaffirm them.
My favorite features of the Homepreneurs Club include the caption and story templates! They are such an amazing starting point to fuel creative ideas for posts that are engaging and valuable to the audience. I also love the way all the members get to interact.
Unfortunately, I haven’t done a lot of networking yet, but I surely will start now!
My tip to new entrepreneurs: Stop working before you reach your breaking point!
It is natural to keep “hustling” until you are totally burnt out – but doing this on a regular basis can block your creativity, tire your brain and lead to irritability. Rest is just as important as work.”
